community standards

a pardy circle is a private group chat between people who already know each other, with games running inside it. that is the whole safety model, and it only works if everyone holds up their end. here is what we expect, what we do not allow, and what happens when someone crosses the line.

the short version

what is not allowed

these are the categories every post is checked against, automatically, before it reaches your circle. they apply to everything the same way: messages, photos, videos, voice notes, stickers, and the questions and dares a round is built from.

• substances. alcohol, drugs, vaping, or daring anyone to use them.
• sexual content. sexual acts, sexualised dares, nudity.
• self harm. self harm, suicide, eating disorders, or encouraging any of it.
• illegal acts. theft, vandalism, trespass, anything against the law.
• targeting people outside the circle. a dare to prank, film, contact or humiliate someone who is not in the circle and never agreed to any of this.
• threats. threatening violence or harm against anyone.
• sexual content involving a minor. see the section below. this one is absolute.
• doxxing. posting anyone's address, school, phone number or accounts.

also not allowed: bullying and harassment, impersonating someone, posting someone else's work as your own, spam and advertising, and anything that attacks the service itself.

child sexual abuse and exploitation

pardy prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation material and conduct absolutely, without exception. that includes sexual content involving anyone under 18, grooming, sextortion, soliciting or trading such material, and using pardy to arrange any of it. this holds whether or not the people involved use pardy, and whether or not anyone in the circle is a minor.

What we do about it:

• every image and every video frame uploaded to pardy is checked against known child sexual abuse material using Microsoft PhotoDNA hash matching.
• a match, or a confirmed report in this category, is an instant permanent ban. there is no strike, no warning and no appeal to the ladder.
• we report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), and to law enforcement where we are required to.
• we preserve the material and the account records as the law requires so an investigation can proceed.

Child safety point of contact. [CHILD SAFETY CONTACT: name, role, and a monitored email address. Google Play requires a named person, not a shared alias, in the Child Safety Standards declaration. This must be filled before the Play listing can be published.] Until then, urgent child safety reports go to email us and are treated as the highest priority.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. You can also report directly to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org, or in the UK to the Internet Watch Foundation at report.iwf.org.uk.

how reporting works

Every item in a circle can be reported. Long press it, or open it, and choose Report. You can report a member from their member sheet the same way.

1. the item hides from the whole circle straight away, before any person looks at it. a placeholder holds its place so the thread does not collapse.
2. it is triaged automatically, within seconds.
3. if it is fine, it comes back and nothing else happens. a report on its own is never a strike against anyone.
4. if it is not, it stays hidden and the author takes a strike.
5. anything in the three severe categories, or anything the automatic check is unsure about, goes to a person at pardy.

your name is not shown to the person you reported. not when the item is hidden, not when they take a strike, not ever, unless you explicitly choose to tell them.

what happens to someone who breaks the rules

The ladder, in order. Strikes wear off after 90 days.

1. first. nothing is said. the account gets watched more closely.
2. second. a soft warning.
3. third. a final warning.
4. fourth. deck only for 30 days. you can still play, you just pick from the app's deck instead of writing your own. it lifts by itself.
5. fifth. deck only with no end date, and an appeal opens up.

the trapdoor. threats, sexual content involving a minor, and doxxing skip the ladder completely. one is enough: instant permanent ban, every session signed out, and a report filed where we are required to file one. there is no warning and no second chance for those three.

blocking

you can block any member from their member sheet. blocking hides everything of theirs from you and everything of yours from them, in every circle you share. it stops them joining a circle you create. and it prompts you to leave the circles you already share, so a circle is never half blocked.

appeals

if you are on deck only with no end date, you can appeal from Settings inside the app. a person reads every appeal. you can also appeal a ban by writing to email us.

age

pardy is for 13 and up, and we check a date of birth before we collect anything else. under 18s should be using pardy with a parent who knows about it. read the rest in the privacy policy.
